Our purpose at Church of the Ville is:

“To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus and help them discover their full potential in Christ.”

We filter every idea, program, and budget request through our purpose statement. If what we plan doesn’t help us meet our purpose, then we don’t do it.

Our statement of purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus:

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Because of this, we do four things at Church of the Ville:

Weekend Services

We believe that following Jesus should be nothing less than exhilarating. With that in mind, we design our Weekend Services to be passionate, practical, fun and inspiring. We want to be a place where people can’t wait to invite their family and friends.

Small Groups

We were created for relationships. Relationships are what God uses to help change lives. Our small groups meet all over our city, and are places where people gather around all kinds of interests to pray, grow, and become all God has called them to be. Next Steps

God has a purpose for your life. Next Steps is designed to help you connect with that purpose. By taking the Next Steps over four Sundays, you will know what it looks like to follow Jesus, connect with our pastors and our church, discover your true purpose, and ultimately make a real difference with your life. To learn more about how to connect with your purpose at Church of the Ville and to make a difference in the world, visit the Next Steps page.

Dream Team

The Dream Team is a group of amazing people just like you, who have discovered their individual gifts and passions, and are living the dream by serving in them every week. We believe God has a special place for you to use your unique abilities, and life will only make sense when you find, develop and fulfill your purpose.
